Green power is a term used to describe sources of energy that are both clean and renewable. Unlike fossil fuels, these energy sources come from supplies that are infinite in their availability and do not create environmental pollution. Solar, wind and biomass are all forms of green energy.
Solar energy is one of the most popular forms of green power. Silicon cells are used to capture energy from the sun and convert it to usable electricity. These panels can be mounted on nearly any rooftop and are perfectly suited for supplying all the power required by the average home.
Wind has also become a popular source of green power. A wind turbine can be used to capture the kinetic energy of the wind and convert it to electricity. This electricity can then be used to power just about anything.
