Windmill power is not a new idea. In fact, it has been around for hundreds of years. The obvious benefit of this power is that many parts of the world enjoy consistent air movement all the time, and windmills simply harness this energy. Wind also takes place all day, and the resource is potentially pretty limitless, especially in certain parts of the world.
Thus, windmill power provides a practical, clean alternative energy source, and a possible way of decreasing use of fossil fuels.
Recent technological enhancements have made it possible for windmill power to be employed on a personal, small basis as well as a larger commercial one. Generally windmill power today, when used on an individual basis, is used in tandem with an electrical utility. This results in less electricity used, and lower power bills. Additionally, governments are increasingly offering tax incentives for those who employ windmill power on either a personal or commercial basis.
Windmill power is also fairly easy to set up. While typically windmills have been used in something like a wind farm, there are today many smaller versions that work similarly, just on a smaller scale. After the initial installation, these are also fairly easy to maintain.
